«Bioflexible» Field
Michele Pelletier –Aouizerate (MD)
Dynamic Phototherapy (PDT*) brought the concept of field cancerization. "Genetic alterations detected in the pathological area in the environment of the tumor .They are connected with iterative various carcinogens."
It allows to integrate tumor as secondary lesion and the field, first event. This latter will then induce visible injury.
The sequence of the process can be applied to many pathophysiological phenomena:
Field of healing
Field of rejuvenation
Field of hair growth....:
We can make several observations with these clinical cases:
The delayed effect:
The expected result occurs only after a certain time period (days, weeks, months) after illumination
It would be useful across multiple studies to determine "delays effects" for adherence by the patient (Therapeutic Education : sessions management : number, intervals , frequency and maintenance).
The distance effect:
Treatment of facial scar: Clinical case from Dr. Faouzia Benkraba : Healing of covered scar by Steristrip. This area was not directly illuminated.
Systemic effect:
Far from illumination area (refer bibliography in presentation; Burn and healing studies in animals)
The concept of prevention:
Embracing our future medicine also based on prevention.
Management lesion as a photobiomodulation field, would be to prevent the occurrence of other secondary lesions (as from PDT lessons learning).
